Hi, I’m Jaume!
One way or another, I’ve been involved in tourism most of my life. In my youth, after graduating in Tourism, I immediately got to work as a tour guide, spending much time travelling around the world. Then, about ten years ago, I began to look here in Barcelona to see what would be different and exciting to offer to potential visitors. It didn’t take me long to realize this town has a wealth of attractive propositions suited for all.
Because the tourist market is huge, and the scope for new initiatives keeps growing all the time, I soon found out that if I wanted to succeed I would have to concentrate on what I know best and keep it simple: Cultural tourism is a field of work I’m passionate about. Every time I visit a foreign city I feel the urge to get to know first-hand about the cultural aspects of the city; how locals used to live in the old days and how they live today.
Traditions, customs, arts and food, are key subjects one needs to learn about in order to have a better understanding of a certain culture and a community of people. Barcelona’s over two thousand years of history is a long enough time to have turned this town into a rich, complex and fascinating place people, even locals, don’t often know much about.
Sharing my passion, my city, with all of you, is something I very much look forward to!
